“Over The Top by Default Rally”

Firstly you are going to ask how did we come up with that name, well I used to keep calling it the “Re-Run Rally” and Jol our tireless treasurer kept saying “Over the Top Rally”. One day whilst discussing the proposed event with Bill Garner, he insisted on calling it “The Default Rally”, we put both names together and called it , “Over The Top by Default Rally”, seems I missed out again!!.

The date for this event will be March 16^th,17^th,18^th &19^th – 2012, we will be using Myrtleford as the rally base . Friday 16^th we intend to ride up as a group from the northern Melbourne area, there will be secure facilities there if anyone wants to leave a ute or trailer behind . On the Saturday & Sunday we have two big rides planned, one is to Falls Creek, Omeo and back through Hotham, the other is the River Ride from a different way with a changed lunch venue. Monday 19^th we will ride back to our start destination in Melbourne as a group, should anyone choose to travel directly to Myrtleford that is their choice.

In order to keep the cost down we will not be running a mini bus, should anyone choose to travel by car that is fine, as usual they stay at the rear, there will be a backup trailer supplied.

In the July Sprocket we will have the phone numbers of suggested accommodation facilities, eg: motels, hotels ,B&B’s plus camping facilities. We will also suggest where we as a club will be staying and starting our rides from.

I strongly suggest when these details come out in July Sprocket, if you intend coming on this rally book you’re accommodation immediately.

NOTE.. Your accommodation will be your responsibility .

The actual entry form for the rally will not be out until much later in the year.
