For members contemplating attending the Bonanza who reside and ride West of Melbourne and particularly those from the South West coastal fringe are advised to pay particular attention to the following instructions.
These instructions are issued from the Office of the Safety and Training Officers of the Bonanza group. Due to the nature of the terrain, particularly in the mountainous areas for the overall well being of these members it is therefore deemed necessary for you to practice and exercise on you machines (without training wheels) and we suggest the following method. Select a quiet street, thoroughfare or backyard, spacing out some kerosene tins or witches hats in a line with the obligatory gap between and travel through in a slalom type manner. You have about 10 months in which to practise as on the Sunday arrival day you shall be subject to a riding test so show your capabilities and ER skill to negotiate these barriers. You MAY then be issued with the competency certificate enabling your participation in the rally. The Safety and Training Judge on the day who conducts the examination will be fair and firm but his/her decision will be final, there will be no correspondence entered into adhere shall be no right of appeal.
