 As Kay and I were getting ready to ride off we had two minutes of sprinkle and that was the only rain experienced. By the time we arrived at Polly’s home in Cockatoo the sun was shining. After our morning tea we proceeded through the Dandenongs to Gembrook and turned on to the now sealed Gembrook-Launching Place road. This road has always been a good ride but now that it is sealed it is even better.
We didn’t stop at Launching Place for launch but proceeded up to Yarra Junction and turned on to the Yarra Junction-Noojee road for another great ride through Gladysdale, Three Bridges, Powelltown and over the LaTrobe Forest Spur to Noojee for lunch at the Red Parrot and Noojee General Store.
By now the sun is full up and it is starting to get warm. Fortunately it is cool up in the Yarra Ranges so it was a comfortable ride home.
We retraced our route back too Cockatoo to Woori Yallock where Kay and I peeled off towards home as did others living in that direction. The ride was without incident so the Back-Up girls could enjoy the drive. Thanks to Ross for his planning and leadership, Jack for Tail End Charleying and Polly and Rhonda for the Back-Up.
