Another very active year for the club has slipped by and as the old saying goes the older you get the quicker they seem to go, having said that with all the rallies and events we have planned for 2011 looks like it's going to be an active year as well.

Unfortunately due to the inclement weather forecast Ray Harrison made a last-minute and very wise decision in calling off the High Country Muster in November, I know Ray was very disappointed in having to do this however he put the safety and well-being of club members first and foremost.

One thing that has come to our attention from this happening is the importance of putting asmany contact details as possible on the entry form .eg: your home phone number, mobile number and even an emergency contact number, by that we mean someone else that can be contacted in the event of an emergency. When I go riding I always give my sons mobile number in Warrnambool as I know he has his mobile on 24/7.

In February when our rides start again we have shifted the Club Runs to the Sunday after the General Meeting, some time back this is when it used to be however it changed to the third Sunday in the month and what has been happening in a lot of cases the ride has been before a sprocket has come out and/or the general meeting has taken place.  So please read your club calendar and take note of the dates that the rides are on that is why we go to the trouble of printing the calendar.

The Classic Clubs stand at the motorcycle expo at Jeff's shed was very successful and created a fair amount of interest and the prospect of some new members which is always good to hear, so a special thanks to Wally Walsh and Graham Boulter for polishing up their bikes and putting them on display and also the members who gave their time and effort in setting up, being there and answering the public's questions and packing up, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

In closing off for this year may you all have safe and happy Christmas and New Year and look I forward seeing you’se out on those classics in 2011.
