Presidents Report - August 2010 PDF Print E-mail

As you are aware our AGM has come and gone and it was pleasing to see the attendance of

so many members on the night. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members

for the confidence they have shown in electing myself and the other office bearers to our

positions, also we welcome Peter Cullen and John Best to the committee and Reg Hammond

as Club Captain.

We now have all the positions filled and I feel that it will be a very strong and active

committee and the club can look forward to a very positive year ahead. Knowing

that you have this kind of support gives me great confidence that all our club rides

and rallies, etc will be successful events.

This report will be rather brief because of my AGM presidents report, the club run to the

Macedon Ranges was a well run event, the numbers were down but those who attended

certainly enjoyed the day.

The big event for the month was our brass monkey rally at Maryborough which was very

well attended and organized, 10/10 to Ed Sleightholm, no matter what Ed does he always

gives it his best shot, you know you can rely on him and it runs like clockwork. So from

myself and all those who attended thanks for a great weekend.

Expressions of interest have closed for the “Beechworth Bonanza” Classic Club 40th

anniversary rally April 2011, and we have filled the 80 (people) vacancies that we had

available so anyone who has been a little lax in sending an expression of interest in will go on

a waiting list hoping for a cancellation.

In closing I would like to say we can look forward to a good year ahead with plenty of

activities in the way of club ride days ,rallies etc and as your President keep the

club stable and on the good course it has enjoyed over past years.
