Presidents Report - July 2009 |

Well here we are at the end of another Club Year and this will be my last Report to you as President.
It has been an unusual year and all of us have been touched in some way by the Global Economic problems.
I hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel and the financial world will recover in the short term.
I feel that the Club has had another good year and as we move through our 38th year Club activities are on the increase. We have several new Rallies and I sincerely thank all those involved for their efforts.
To survive we must turn our attention to increasing our Membership. This is the very basis of the Club and we must not sit back and not make an effort to increase our numbers. I ask all members to give some thought towards suitable people with an interest in our type of Motorcycling.
Do you have a member of your family or someone in your circle of friends who would like to join us? I feel that we have a lot to offer from the social side of things to an excellent Magazine, numerious runs and Rallies Etc.
We have several members who have not been well lately and to Peter and Wilma Marjerison and Peter Janson we all send our best wishes for a speedy recovery and are back with us soon.
Just a reminder that the next meeting is the AGM and the Committee changes for the following year. We still have some vacancies and once again I ask you to consider the chance to put your name forward to help the Club in the next year.
I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of the Committee and members who have given me such support during the year. It has been a privilege to work with you all and your contribution has been to the benefit of the Club.
