Well here
we are well into our 37th year with a new Committee and hopefully a few new
ideas to move the Club Along.
Firstly I
must sincerely thank Ray Isles for the effort he put in after John Stock's
sudden death last Christmas. Ray and the Committee worked very hard and long to
make sure all went smoothly.
We hope
to give the Members more value for their membership and increase our numbers as
we go along.
I would
like to welcome Elaine Watson, Jol Dunn and Berger Drake to the Committee for
this year. I am sure they will make a significant contribution to the Club.
Elaine
has taken over from Ian Richsteig as Secretary which is one of the
Major
jobs on the Committee. I would like to thank Ian who has been a long serving
and dedicated Secretary. I am sure he will enjoy moving from the Top Table to
join the Members in the main body of the hall.
If any
members have any suggestions that may help the Club, or ideas to improve the
running of the Club please feel free to speak to
Me or any
member of the Committee at any time. We are at your disposal.
Finally
my thought for the year is "Not what can the Club do for me but what
can I do for the Club".
